PET,PETE - POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE

PET is a popular packaging for food and non-food products, such as soft drink bottles, clam shells, strapping, and film.

HDPE - HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE

HDPE is most commonly used in milk jugs, crates, buckets, and containers. Also, it is used for bottling of industrial chemicals and household cleaners/detergents, and the manufacture of grocery bags.

PVC - VINYL OR POLYVINYL CHLORIDE

PVC or polyvinyl, of all plastics, is commonly considered the most possibly damaging to individuals and the environment. PVC releases carcinogenic dioxins when manufactured, processed or incinerated. PVC can be found in pipes and fittings, packaging sheets, and film.

LDPE - LOW DENSITY POLYETHYLENE

LDPE is most commonly used to manufacture bags (such as produce, tote, dry cleaning, and packaging), stretch film, shrink wrap, cosmetic/toothpaste containers, and in foam for product protection. (Please note that Super Link operates densifiers to assist in the recycling of this foam).

PP - POLYPROPYLENE

PP is used for a variety of packaging and durable item applications.

PS - POLYSTYRENE

PS is used for both packaging and durable items; products include CD cases, signs, and plastic cutlery. We have equipment to process light weight and bulky polystyrene foam.

OTHER

This sign can signify any resin that is not one of the above six, such as polycarbonate, or products that were made from multiple resins. Please contact us to verify the recyclability. Many durable products, such as computer housings and other electronic shells, are in this category.
